The anti-seismic work of construction projects is directly related to the safety of people's lives and property, as well as economic development and social stability. In order to promote the newly revised Regulations on the Administration of Earthquake Resistance of Construction Projects and the Notice on the Promotion and Application of Seismic Reduction and Isolation Technology in Housing Construction Projects, it is required to implement in Xiong'an New Area, promote the application of seismic reduction and isolation technology in Xiong'an New Area, and improve the anti-seismic and disaster prevention capacity of construction projects. The Planning and Construction Bureau of the New Area, together with the Emergency Management Bureau and the Earthquake Disaster Prevention Center, organized a publicity and implementation meeting on seismic mitigation and isolation technology on September 28, 2021.

Academician Zhou Fulin introduced the following highlights at the propaganda and implementation meeting of seismic mitigation and isolation technology:

1. The significance of the National Regulations on the Administration of Earthquake Resistance of Construction Projects;

2. The understanding and implementation of Article 16 of the Regulations on the Administration of Earthquake Resistance of Construction Projects (related to seismic mitigation and isolation technology);

3. Future prospects of isolation, vibration reduction, earthquake prevention and disaster reduction in China.
